Angie Nehring
RP, M.Div, BA
My name is Angie, and I am a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have been practicing psychotherapy for four years. My educational background includes a Masters of Divinity in Clinical Counselling (2020) and a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology & Visual Art (2012).
From a young age I have always been fascinated by people and their stories. My friends and family often joke that if they ever lose me, they'll find me immersed in a deep conversation with a stranger about their life story! My passion for others and my drive to find beauty in unexpected places has provided the foundation for my career as a therapist.
When I'm not working, you'll find me spending time with family and friends, writing, or adding to my growing plant collection. I look forward to meeting you!
Continuing my education and training is very important to me. Here are some of the additional courses and qualifications I have taken:
- Focussing Therapy Level 1 (2020)
- Gottman Couples Therapy Level 1 (2022)
- LivingWorks ASSIST (Suicide Prevention Training) (2022)
- DBT Skills Training - Abrieviated Track (2022)
- "ADHD In Love: Treating Couples when One Partner has ADHD." (2023)
- Polyvagal Burnout Workshop with Deb Dana (2023)
- Trauma Research Foundation's Certificate Program in Traumatic Stress Studies (currently in progress - 2024)
